Course Overview
The Scout System Administration, Configuration & Maintenance Training course offers an orientation into Scout’s enterprise-level architecture, system operation, and dispatching capabilities. Practical knowledge is gained through hands-on experience in Scout component software installation, ground-up system configuration and deployment, UI design, Console operation, and System Database Backup and Restore. Discussion topics include New system architecture, Enterprise Management Tools using IIS® / MSMQ®/ SQL®, Enhanced Security, Component communication, System deployment, and Diagnostics, as well as an introduction to Scout’s built-in Statistical data collection for Dispatcher and system activity reporting. 

Certification Examinations
To ensure students have gained the necessary knowledge needed to support Scout systems, the Scout System Administration Certification requires the successful completion of both a written and hands-on lab exam. All resources made available during class instruction are available to be used during both exams, and collaboration is encouraged among class attendees.

Intended Audience
System Administrators, Maintenance Technicians, and Technical Staff who will be responsible for the maintenance of the Scout system components

Prerequisites
A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7® operating systems, IP networking with an understanding of Unicast and Multicast protocols, Telephony, and Radio Communication Standards and protocols is required.
