Avtec Inc., the nation’s leading independent provider of mission-critical Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) dispatch console systems, today announced that Software Engineer Benjamin Morgan is an IWCE Young Professionals Awards winner. Morgan received the honor during a special ceremony in Orlando, Florida, on March 8 at the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE), the premier annual event for communications technology professionals. The award recognizes individuals under age 35 who work in the communications technology industry and have made significant contributions to their companies or agencies.
Morgan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from the University of South Carolina and began his career at Avtec in 2014. He joined the company as a system integration engineer responsible for installing VoIP and Radio over Internet Protocol (RoIP) consoles in customer sites across North America. He has also worked as a senior customer support engineer, where he was able to efficiently create solutions and solve issues for Avtec customers. He now serves as a software engineer for the professional services development team, collaborating with end users to evolve the Scout™ dispatch product. He is continuing to grow and expand his skillset as a software developer, working on new product features that will influence the future of unified communications.
