LEXINGTON,
SC – June 29, 2017 – Avtec Inc., the leading provider of pure IP voice dispatch
console systems, has named Dawn Fisher as its new Customer Services and
Solutions Leader. Fisher had been serving in the position on an interim basis
since February 2017, and her permanent appointment was announced by Avtec President
Kevin Williams earlier this month.
“Dawn has
demonstrated that she is ready to take on the challenge and additional
responsibilities,” said Williams. “She has the skill set, experience, and
leadership qualities to be very successful in her new role, and we are excited
to welcome her to our leadership team.”
Reporting
directly to Williams, Fisher will be responsible for solutions development,
customer support, systems implementation, project and process management, the customer
experience, and all associated training and support.
A highly proactive, data-driven
leader, Fisher has established a solid track record for developing
high-performing teams and motivating talented individuals.
“Her success in evolving service
offerings and leveraging new technology to enhance training and customer
support made her the ideal candidate for the position,” said Williams. “Plus,
it’s always a big positive when you can promote from within.”
Fisher joined Avtec in 2011 as the
company’s Customer Support Manager, a role in which she was responsible for technical
support desk operations, resolving system escalations, technical training,
system implementations and administering the company’s Salesforce CRM system.
Prior to Avtec, Fisher
held management positions in IT and contact center services at several large
organizations, including SCANA Energy in Aiken and Roper Saint Francis Health
System in Charleston.
Fisher holds a master’s degree in
counselor education and a bachelor’s degree in sociology and psychology from
the University of South Carolina. Fisher also attended Canisius College in
Buffalo, New York, where she earned an associate degree in management
information systems.
