This award recognizes the industry’s most innovative communications products, and is based on evaluations provided by experts in the public safety field.
The winning products were assessed during the APCO International 78th Annual Conference & Expo in Minneapolis, and will be featured in the November issue of PSC magazine. Fifty-seven companies submitted 73 products for consideration; of these, 25 entries were designated as “Hot Products.”
Scout with Frontier reduces network traffic by dynamically passing only relevant voice traffic across Wide Area Networks (WAN) using unicast communication. This technology eliminates multicast IP traffic on the WAN. “Scout with Frontier is unique because it’s the first to actively manage traffic in distributed deployments.” said Avtec’s Director of Product Marketing, Michael Ridge.
