Avtec and Icom have joined forces on several large projects, utilizing ScoutTM and IDASTM, the Icom Digital Advanced System based on the NXDNTM protocol. These combined technologies can be seen in projects as diverse as major railroad deployments and public safety installations. Scout allows IDAS users to access the robust features of their digital radio system on a dedicated media workstation. Additionally, both Avtec and Icom belong to the NXDN Forum and are committed to ultra-narrowband 6.25 kHz FDMA technology.
